	August 9, 2006 Hi Nelson, It was a pleasure speaking with you today about your educational goals and how Kaplan University can help you achieve them. As we discussed, below are the steps needed to complete the enrollment process for the Master of Business Administration/Marketing.   Step One: Application and Online Learning Aptitude Profile Go to https://www.kaplan.edu/enrollment or click here to log in to the Kaplan University Online Enrollment Center. Your username and password are: Username: braux@prtc.net Password: 10335624 Once you log in to the Online Enrollment Center, you will be instructed to complete:             Step 1 - Personal Information             Step 2 - Academic and Professional Background             Step 3 - Online Learning Aptitude Profile Your deadline for completion of the application and the Online Learning Aptitude Profile is August 10, 2006. If you are unable to complete your application by the assigned deadline, please notify me immediately. I will be forced to close your file if I do not hear from you and do not receive your completed application and Online Learning Aptitude Profile by this deadline. Step Two: Get Your Pin Apply for your U.S. Department of Education personal identification number (PIN), which allows you to electronically sign your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), check its status online, and access your account information. Go to the Department of Education PIN Registration site at www.pin.ed.gov and click "Apply for a PIN." You should receive an email with a link to your PIN within three business days. A PIN requested by mail will take 7-10 business days to arrive. It is not required that you have a PIN to fill out a FAFSA.   If you already have a PIN and need it resent to you, go to www.pin.ed.gov and click "Request a Duplicate PIN." Step Three: Fill Out Your FAFSA Before you fill out your FAFSA, make sure you have a copy of your 2005 tax returns and your driver's license in front of you. You can still fill out a FAFSA if you do not have a driver's license and/or if you did not file or will not file tax returns for 2005. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and click on "Filling out a FAFSA" at the top of the second column.   There are nine steps to completing a FAFSA; make sure you complete all the steps. 1.      Select the "2006-2007 FAFSA" for the 2006-2007 School Year. At this point you will be asked, "Do you want to sign your application now by using your PIN?" You will choose "YES" if you have already received your PIN or "NO" if you have not requested a PIN or are waiting for it to arrive.  (If you select No, you can still complete a FAFSA and view your Web Submission Confirmation page. You can go back later, when you receive your PIN, and sign your FAFSA.) Step 5 will ask you for a school code. Kaplan University's school code is 004586 (Davenport, Iowa). Step 6 allows you to print out a copy of your FAFSA for your records. Step 9 will allow you to view the Web Submission Confirmation page. Copy and paste your confirmation page into an email and send it to me. If you prefer, you can also print out this page and fax it to me. Very important: If you do not print/copy the submission page at this time you will be unable to access it for 24 to 72 hours. If you have chosen to sign without a PIN, you will not be able to access this page until you have your PIN.
