The Dream CatchersGroup originatedfrom working in conjunction with a well-established program at Utah ValleyUniversity in bringing training to low-to-moderate income and ethnic populationgroups. Currently, the Dream Catchers Group continues to provide training andemployment opportunities through Native American, Latino and Pacific Islander CommunityJob Fairs and culture-based training for employers and employees, as well as individualizedcareer development and job placement for people of all origins.
Our mission is threefold:
TrainWe provide training to fill gaps inexperience and skills to find gainful and fulfilling employment. Each traineeworks with our counselors to create a Career Training Plan (CTP) which isindividualized based on assessments and analysis of needs, and what the traineewants to accomplish with their career.
ConnectWe provide opportunities to connectemployers with potential employees on a more personal and relevant level.Cultural competency is a focal point of all of our events because increasedunderstanding will increase employee satisfaction and loyalty. To do this weorganize career fairs, provide cultural training, and how to fit in whilemaintaining cultural values.
ImproveAfter our trainees are hired, wecontinue to provide training, which will help new hires to become moreproductive in the workplace, increase loyalty, improve leadership potential,and make them better candidates for promotion.
Who We AreThe Dream Catchers Group, made up ofCo-Founders Keaka and Nathan Hanamaikai , COO, Brad Denver, Director ofEmployer Relations, Scott Harward, and Senior Advisor, Dr. Richard Mosholder,Ph.D, together possess more than three decades of experience and expertise intraining, education, employment services and employer relations.
What Makes Us DifferentWe work directly with employers todetermine and provide a minimum level of training and qualifications anindividual applicant must have BEFORE they even see anapplication and résumé. After they have hired one of our trainees we continueto provide training on behalf of the company to help increase loyalty andemployee satisfaction, reduce turnover, and increase an employee’s likelihoodfor promotion with their organization. We also make a variety of self-pacedtrainings available to other current employees, not hired through us, at nocost
